Well, after a day of meetings, discussions, emails and the appropriate amount of just dawdling around it suddenly became that time of day to do my "photographic eye" exercise of the day. So I looked to see what I could see in my office. Here are my observations of the day.
As I left from visiting my parents yesterday around sunset, I noticed a barn stocked with hay for winter and an interesting looking tree with the sun setting behind it.
Well here we are, yet another brand new year. I'm eagerly looking forward to what adventures and opportunities await myself and the rest of the world. Let's hope it's a good one! I encourage everyone to look around your environment to see what you can see. Try to notice more of the everyday things that surround you, big things, little things, fleeting, temporary, permanent, beautiful, interesting and interestingly mundane things. While you're looking around, look for some litter (it isn't hard to find) and make an important contribution to your surroundings by picking it up and tossing it into the nearest trash can.
So let's raise a glass to you and all the hard working people and to "looking around" in 2012.
